Curriculum Development
At Go Journey Abroad, we believe meaningful educational travel extends beyond traditional sightseeing. Our programs are designed to connect classroom learning with authentic, real-world experiences through experiential education, cultural immersion, and interdisciplinary exploration.
We offer multiple levels of curriculum integration, from educational itineraries with clearly defined learning objectives to fully customized academic journeys developed in collaboration with participating schools and educators.
Our curriculum-supported programs can include pre-departure learning materials, standards-aligned educational activities, on-site experiential learning opportunities, student reflection exercises, and post-travel assessments.
By working closely with school administrators and faculty, we ensure that each journey supports institutional educational goals while fostering global citizenship, critical thinking, cultural awareness, and personal growth.
President & CEO
Ivan A. Lopez
Ivan brings over 20 years of international business & study abroad experience. He helped launch Financial Inclusions in Mexico and Central America with the 42nd Treasurer of the United States. Later collaborated with the Texas Department of Agriculture to market trade shows and develop trade leads by assisting foreign investors in recruiting Texas agricultural suppliers. His 15 year study abroad career began at International Studies Abroad, one of the largest study abroad providers in the nation. As the right-hand to the founder and later as an executive leading the high school division, Ivan excelled in building relationships and developing unique programs for a memorable student experience. Ivan is thrilled to share his passion for global travel with students and working professionals.
Journey Coordinator
Ashley Fandel
Ashley joined Go Journey Abroad in February 2026 as a Journey Coordinator, bringing more than a decade of experience in account management, customer relations, leadership, and team development. A graduate of The University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in Communication and Business.
At Go Journey Abroad, Ashley brings a relationship-focused approach to international education. She believes that a great program begins with understanding each group’s unique needs and that thoughtful planning and communication make all the difference in creating a memorable experience. Ashley loves the opportunity to build lasting relationships with educators and partners while helping create meaningful global experiences for students.
